Is this designer merchandise authentic?

Yes. Authenticity is guaranteed.

How do you get these great discounts?

All our wedding dresses, evening dresses, party dresses, prom dresses and mother of the bride dresses are mostly pre-owned, inventory clearance or discontinued styles. Some are still new and not worn before. For pre-owned dresses, ordinary wear such as a missing hook or eye, loose bead work or dust at the hemline is normal. Accepting ordinary wear is how you enjoy superior quality couture wedding dresses and formal wear at a fraction of their retail price.

Are there any obvious flaws or drawbacks?

Every gown is thoroughly examined before it is listed and again before it is shipped. We disclose any wear that needs special attention such as minor stains. When nothing specific is mentioned, then nothing extraordinary was noticed. Any noticeable wear that is omitted is inadvertent or considered ordinary wear in our professional judgement.

How do I get the correct size?

To ensure the correct size, know your current measurements. Fit the largest part based on the measurements we provide. The dimensions of your bust, waist or hips should be less than the standard sizing. If your measurements are the same or greater than the manufacturer's sizing guidelines, go the next size up. Feel free to contact us for assistance.

Can the dress be altered?

Smaller size alteration might be possible. But for bigger size alteration, not everything provides sufficient seam allowance to be let out. Also, we do not recommend that you let out formals. Few have sufficient seam allowance, plus the holes from previous seams might show in many fabrics. Please ask before you purchase.

Do you offer gown alteration services?

Sorry, we don't provide gown alteration services. But we can probably recommend a few seamstresses.

Do you have a store where I can try on my dress before buying it?

We do not have a store or showroom. However, gown fitting is possible with an appointment.

What is your shipping and delivery process?

1. All orders will be sent out during weekday via national courier service. Orders received on weekend and public holidays are usually processed by the end of the next working day.
2. You will receive an email confirmation along with the tracking number.
3. To ensure speedy and punctual delivery of package, please provide the correct/detail address, city, state and country.
4. For inter-bank payment, the order will only be delivered once the transaction of payment is complete.
5. For Malaysian customers, you will receive the goods in estimated 2 to 3 business days via national courier. For overseas customers, you will receive the goods in estimated 15 to 20 business days via registered post.
6. We cannot be responsible for delays due to customs and/or duty regulations and procedures. Delivery times may vary particularly during holiday periods. We cannot guarantee the delivery time but we will do our best to process your orders soonest possible.

When can I expect delivery?

From the time we receive your order and payment, please allow 2 to 3 business days for you to receive your item. However, please let us know your deadline in advance so that we can verify that we can meet it.

How much is the postage charge?

By Pos Laju:
For Peninsular Malaysia, RM6 flat rate for parcel weight less than 1kg.
For Sabah and Sarawak, RM10 flat rate for parcel weight less than 1kg.

Self-pick up is possible with an appointment.

What is your refund and exchange policy?

All items are sold “as is” and all sales are final. No returns or exchanges. Bride On A Shoestring is not liable for any damage on the goods and lost in transit during delivery.
